How to Properly Unlock Cell Phones

To ensure that our buyback program runs smoothly, the phones need to be properly prepared by removing all locks. Below, you’ll see the instructions on how to do so.

Passcode Unlock:

iPhone:

Turn Off Passcode:

Settings > Face ID (or Touch ID depending on the version) & Passcode > Turn Passcode Off

Android Phone:

Turn Off Passcode: 

Settings > Lock Screen and Security > Screen Lock > Swipe

iCloud Unlock (iPhone Only):

Settings > iCloud > Choose Your Phone > Find My iPhone > Off

Activation Unlock (iPhone Only):

Settings > Lock Screen and Security > Reactivation Lock - Uncheck > Ok > Confirm

Remove Samsung Account (Samsung phones only):

Settings > Accounts and backup > Accounts > Tap on your Samsung account > Your Personal info > More options (the three vertical dots) > Sign out.

Remove Google Account (All Android phones):

Settings > Accounts and backup > Accounts > Tap on Google account > Remove account > Remove account

MDM Software:

To remove MDM software, please contact your telecom manager.
