eLoop’s Path to Zero Waste

eLoop’s Path to Zero Waste

We understand that protecting the environment starts with us. That’s why we’ve been transitioning into becoming a zero-waste company. Here are some of the new ways we’ve discovered to help us on our journey to zero waste.

Recycling Paper

We receive a lot of paper through many different forms. First, we receive a lot of blank printer paper, which we use for our paperwork to facilitate the circular economy. Once we no longer have use for our printed paper, we shred it to protect any sensitive information included on the documents. With our shredded paper, along with the junk mail and catalogs we receive in the mail, we found a local recycler that is recycling these for us.

Cardboard

Through our pickups and drop-offs, we accumulate a lot of cardboard, mostly in the form of boxes. With our new bailer, we are able to bail these leftover boxes into a nice package that is easily recyclable. We located a local recycler that is now recycling our bailed cardboard.

Metal

We receive an abundance of metals through the recycling of IT assets and electronics. Some of these metals are hard to recycle because many of them are connected on circuit boards, requiring a lot of work to separate them. Through our research, we’ve found more avenues to recycle these hard-to-recycle metals in an environmentally-free way.

Shrink Wrap

We use a lot of shrink wrap here. Most of the time, we use it to keep our pallets of TVs together. Excess shrink wrap is an often overlooked waste by most companies. Through talking with local recycling companies, we found a company that can recycle our used shrink wrap.

What Does Your Company Do?

What does your company do with their waste? We want to know. It is through sharing information that everyone learns and grows.
